The Vinod Patel Foundation is a charitable trust registered under Fiji’s Charitable Trusts Act 1945. It serves as the philanthropic arm of the Vinod Patel Group, implementing the Group’s social charter through targeted support for under-served communities in Fiji.
The Foundation’s assistance is directed toward three key areas:
– Relief of poverty
– Advancement of education
– Activities beneficial to the community
Support is provided in the form of monetary grants and/or in-kind contributions, depending on the needs of the beneficiaries and the nature of the initiative.
The Foundation is managed by 7 Trustees who are assisted by a Secretary and governed by stringent assessment and governance processes.
The Foundation has received, assessed and approved various applications from individuals, non-profit organisations and other charitable trusts since its inception. Successful applicants have been assisted either with monetary donations and/or in-kind donations including building materials.
