Suva, 27th January 2023: Vinod Patel’s Finance Hub Division have secured the naming rights for the 2023-2025 Netball Super League.
The Tournament will be called the FinanceHub Netball Super League. Commencing on 20th May, the competition held every fortnight over a 12 week period, will see 6 teams competing for the title of Super League Champion.
The sponsorship will help boost netball through high-level game exposure.
Vinod Patel CEO said “this sponsorship serves a deeper purpose than commercial interest; it represents our corporate values of Engagement and Collaboration at the community and national levels. Sports has always brought Fijians together and we are proud to continue to support that spirit of unity.
At the signing of the Sponsorship Agreement, Finance Hub General Manager Mr Naushad Ali said that the Company is excited about encouraging the participation of women in sport. This is a great opportunity for us as a business family to intentionally invest in our Company’s principles of diversity, inclusion and equity. We encourage our private sector colleagues to do the same.
Netball Fiji CEO Vivian Koster thanked Finance Hub for the new partnership, for recognising women and girls in sport and for helping grow netball in the country.
“Netball Fiji has set out to grow the number of competitions in the country, a key consideration has been the need for more elite level competition for our athletes to better prepare them for international tests, the Finance Hub Super League is part of that vision,” said Koster.
“The Netball Super League will provide another platform for athletes to earn a call up into the national team,” added Koster.
